The mission of the Inter American University system is to develop the talents of men and women regardless of race, color, religion, gender, age or nationality. The university system offers a wide variety of academic programs in liberal arts, science and technology at undergraduate and graduate levels. The University aims to develop students who assume responsibility for their learning, who excel in their social commitment, appreciation for the culture, ecological conscience, critical thought, management of multi modal communication skills, skillful use of technology, and constancy in seeking continuous personal and professional improvement.
The Bayamón Campus is a specialized academic unit of the Inter American University system. The academic emphases of the Campus are in science and technology and in the development of an entrepreneurship mentality. In 1988, the Board of Trustees approved the Mission and Goals statement for the Bayamón Campus. This Mission focuses on programs in Science, Engineering, Business and Technology.
