    Bachelor's Degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in Public health, epidemiology, biostatistics or related field. Strong project management experience to include cross-organizational projects. Strong working experience of MS Excel and database query languages. Basic knowledge of statistical practices.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    Master’s Degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in Public Health, epidemiology, biostatistics or related field. Experience with RedCap, Qualtrics or other database software. Three years of full-time related experience. Familiarity with statistical operations package such as SPSS.

    Brief Description of Duties:
    The Clinical Data Manager will be responsible for creating, analyzing and supporting all databases for the Division. The incumbent will ensure all data of operation is gathered, reported and effectively transmitted on time to various outside entities and internal stakeholders.

    Manage analytic activities, reviewing, monitoring, and developing corrective action plan.
    Lead the discussion and brainstorming sessions with all stakeholders to create and maintain centralized databases in which data will be stored. Initiation and design of all redcap databases in the division - this includes data for a multi-site randomized clinical trial of over 6,600 participants as well as a consortium database with over 11,000 participants and an international study of over 800 participants. Manage data collection, analysis and cleaning, performing regular audits to ensure that the data collected are complete and accurate, and that the research is being conducted as outlined in the protocol.
    Develop Standard of Practices to standardize data entry in the database. Lead weekly meetings with the research team and provide action items to ensure that the data collected are complete and accurate and meets recruitment goals.
    Develop appropriate progress reports based on study data for the PI, study funding agency, monitoring boards and the IRB.
    Provide monthly and weekly recruitment update to the investigators.
    Work closely with PI in preparation of grant proposals (new and competing renewals) by running analyses, cleaning and preparing datasets. Assist the faculty in the Motor Aging Research Group in gathering the required data needed to prepare grant applications. Confirm that the appropriate resources are available, which are needed by the PI.
    Facilitate the preparation of conference abstracts, oral presentations, and poster presentations, and participate in the development of manuscripts for publication.
    Lead data analysis for manuscript for publication, conference abstracts and oral presentations.
    Built rapport with departmental IT.
    Manage the collection of data from importable and exportable formats for rapid dissemination to PIs and sponsors. Meet with the investigators and make updates to the databases as suggested by the investigators.
    Manage additions/edits for all databases.
    Provide ongoing IT support for research, training, and service provision components of the program as well as assistance to various projects on both ad hoc and regular basis.
    Provide training to staff as appropriate.
    Manage medical records and information systems safeguarding in compliance of HIPAA. The transfer, archiving and retrieval of medical information.
    Maintain a monthly activity database.
    Other duties as assigned.

    The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to the Research Foundation policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines and the availability of funding. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Minimum salary threshold must be met to maintain FLSA exemption.
