i've heard from several of my foreign student friend that hiring a semi-private or private tutor who is familar or specializes in the TOEFL exam will help you boost your score tremedously. The tutor usually comes in with a set of sample questions that each of them will have to take after each session. During each session, he/she goes over a number of test taking skills as well as going over the english portion of the exam extensively.
